Aiming for Zero: Leveraging Wireless Wearable Technology to Avoid Pressure Injuries

Date/Time: Thursday, November 3 @ 2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT

This live webinar brings together clinical thought leaders for a discussion of the benefits of new wearable technologies designed to improve turn protocol compliance in the ICU. The panel will review patient turn workflow challenges commonly encountered in current respiratory and surgical trauma ICU practices and provide insight into how innovative wearable technologies, such as Masimo Centroid™, may help to alleviate those challenges.

Additionally, panelists will suggest steps health systems can implement today to maximize adherence to turning protocols, in an effort to mitigate the prevalence of pressure injuries, and will highlight best practices for overcoming barriers to adoption of such breakthrough wearable technologies.

A short question and answer session, during which the audience will have an opportunity to pose questions directly to the panel, will follow the initial discussion.

Learning Points:

  • The specific ways Centroid has contributed to enhanced patient outcomes, including discussion of real-life examples of the technology’s implementation and best practices learned from those experiences
  • How hospital systems can leverage wearable technology to mitigate the risk of tissue breakdown through visibility of patient positioning over time.
  • How to optimize the benefits of Centroid’s ability to provide “head-of-patient angle” data to better adhere to hospital protocols.
