Carboxyhemoglobin Noninvasive Continuous Immediate

SpCO

Carboxyhemoglobin (SpCO®) is part of Masimo Rainbow SET®, a noninvasive blood constituent monitoring platform that provides measurements that previously required invasive blood sampling and time-consuming laboratory analysis.

When used with other clinical variables, SpCO may help clinicians assess carbon monoxide poisoning status and help determine treatment and additional test options.

PVI Nurse Patient Shot
  • > Exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) is the leading cause of death by poisoning in industrialized countries1
  • > CO poisoning is often misdiagnosed because symptoms are similar to the flu2
  • > Timely diagnosis and treatment of CO poisoning is critical3
  • > SpCO has been shown to identify 60% more carbon monoxide poisonings than traditional methods4
  • > SpCO may improve patient outcomes, increase clinical efficiency, and decrease the cost of care
Clinical Right Shot

"Carboxyhemoglobin measurements performed noninvasively in the Emergency Department with Masimo Pulse CO-Oximetry should lead to enhanced diagnosis of CO poisoning, increased referral for appropriate treatment, and a resultant reduction in morbidity from the disease."
